- Your account: email, username, display name, optional avatar, and your settings (currency, language, date format).
- What you enter: expenses, groups, members you add by name, settlements and your budget.
- Category suggestions learned from your own expenses, kept on your profile.
What is not stored
- Receipt images and screenshots. They are read on your device and discarded; only the fields you confirm are saved.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies. Your data is not sold or shared for marketing.
Who can see your data
Your personal expenses: only you. A group's expenses and balances: the members of that group. The database enforces this on every request, not just the app.
Services involved
- Supabase hosts the database and sign-in.
- Cloudflare serves the website.
- ipapi.co is asked for your approximate country on the sign-in page, to suggest a currency. It sees your IP address.
- open.er-api.com and Frankfurter provide exchange rates; no personal data is sent.
- Fonts and the receipt-reading engine are downloaded from Google Fonts and jsDelivr.
On your device
The installed app keeps a copy of your latest data and any expenses waiting to sync, so it works offline. Signing out removes the copy.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete account removes your account and profile. Expenses you share with a group remain visible to its other members, because they are part of their balances too.
